Copenhagen Business School

Global CSR conference marked the beginning of EventBuizz

In 2012, Copenhagen Business School (CBS) hosted the conference Partnership 2012 featuring former UN secretary Kofi Annan as keynote speaker. The conference was a roadmap for partnerships between businesses and nonprofit NGO’s with speakers from entities such as Coca Cola, Microsoft, UNICEF and Amnesty International giving insights to collaboration. The Danish Minister of Development Cooperation, representatives from the Danish Royal House and leading CSR debaters and experts also offered their perspectives at the conference.

The framework for this was the EventBuizz app delivering the program and all background info on speakers and sponsors. EventBuizz also became a dialogue tool between the conference attendees, the event organizers and the speakers as many questions were asked and numerous polls and surveys conducted during the event.

EventBuizz gave CBS a global conference in a single app. It also became the launch of a trailblazing and efficient planning tool optimising the way meetings, conferences and events are planned and carried out. Companies like Nordea and the event planner Kursuslex are now also using EventBuizz.

EventBuizz is a HTML5 solution accessible from all regular smartphones, tablets and laptops.

The objective of the conference was to disseminate knowledge about innovative, cutting-edge partnerships, stimulate match-making between businesses and NGOs, and to communicate the newest research findings on international partnerships practices.

CBS needed a platform that could deliver all program and background info on speakers, sponsors and attendees in real-time. More than that, EventBuizz showed what was possible by facilitating engaged dialogue and match making between all stakeholders at the conference; the large corporations, the NGOs, the event organisers and the speakers, hereby fulfilling some of the important conference goals.

EventBuizz fielded questions from the audience’s smart phones or tablets, allowing a moderator to instantly receive these and decide which ones to ask the presenters. The audience could also provide their input in numerous polls and surveys conducted during the event directly through EventBuizz. (screenshot of CBS app)
